The Spring House Golf League was established as a recreational group of Rohm and Haas and, later, Dow employees working at the Spring House, PA site, but open to all employees.  Beginning in 2015 it is unaffiliated with Dow, except by history, and is open to all.  Matches are played on MONDAY evenings at the Fairways Golf Club.  There are currently four teams in the league.  Each week each team sends out two players to compete against two players from another team.  Matches are handicapped and scoring is a combination of match and stroke play.  Handicaps are established during a player’s first match, and details of the league’s handicap system can be found in the Rules Document.  Players who are not scheduled to play in a match are welcomed to come out and play open golf.

Players pay their own greens fees to the course.  The current rate is $21 and applies to league members starting after 3:00.  There are many players in the league who keep playing after completing their nine-hole match, often getting in a full eighteen holes during the longer days from late May through late July.

During the season the league has open play and tournaments on Mondays in lieu of the team matches.  The tournaments include various fun formats such as scramble, string scramble, Irish four ball, and skins.
